{A Recap of Our June 2021}
This summer has been busy but, oh so fun! We kicked off the month of June with Liella’s dance recital and we haven’t really slowed down since! I’m so surprised at how much she has grown in her dance skills this past year! She performed so well in her ballet, tap and acrobatic routines! But her passion for dance is what I’m really most excited about. She never stops dancing and says she wants to be a ballerina when she grows up! I’m kinda kicking myself for not taking a single picture with my “big camera” on recital day, so iphone photos will have to do. And a huge THANK YOU to Memaw for taking some during the show!!!
After recital, we started working on pouring a concrete slab for our pool. We are never shy on projects at our place! But, we are still questioning ourselves on why we waited until it was steady 90* temps to begin the project! 🤪 We suffered in the heat to form it up and Joe worked so tirelessly to finish it so we could enjoy our pool this summer. I’m always so amazed at his talents and work abilities!! We are so lucky to have him!!!! 🥰
In the middle of June, Amber (my sister) and I headed to Nashville for a few days! It was SO FUN!!! We did all the touristy things, The Ryman Auditorium, The Opry, RCA Studio B, Country Music Hall of Fame and, of course, Broadway. We ate at Miranda Lambert’s new place, Casa Rosa, as well as Husk, a victorian style home converted to a restaurant. Dinner at night on the front porch was such a fun experience! The food at both places was TO. DIE. FOR! I think Broadway was my favorite part of the entire trip! I could sit and listen to live music allllll day! The talent is INCREDIBLE!! We may have even stopped at the iconic bar Tootsies more than once! 😉 Three days wasn’t nearly enough, there are so many more things I want to see and do! We will definitely have to plan another trip! I purposely did not bring my camera so enjoy all of my iphone photos.
We spent the rest of the month working endlessly getting our camper fixed up and ready to use. We purchased it last fall and it needed A LOT of work. The kids are loving the camper life and we are excited to go on many fun adventures with them!!
Until next month…
