{A Farm Engagement Session In North Central Iowa}
Brea took me out to her family farm north of Algona, near Oak Lake and Plum Creek, for her’s and Travis’ engagement session and I fell in love! Not only was it beautiful but there is so much history on the farm that was important for them to be captured. Brea told me some stories about her mother growing up on the farm with her 5 brothers and sisters and her grandparents. Though no one lives on the farm today, Brea’s family still owns and operates on it daily.
Brea and I go waaay back! We went to high school together and she and her younger sister were best friends with my sisters. I always LOVE photographing her family. They are really some of the sweetest people I know and are always offering help whenever we need it. On top of that, Travis is my dad’s second cousin! Their wedding day will be one giant party with almost everyone I know!
Brea and Travis are getting married at Call State Park and their reception will be at the VFW in Algona, the exact same places Joe and I got married at. Plus, they are getting married on their dating anniversary, which is EXACTLY what Joe and I did as well. Needless to say, I am SUPER excited for their day!!! A chance to relive our day all over again, while capturing another beautiful love story! Is it August 8th yet??
This is the house Brea’s mama grew up in with her parents and her 5 brother and sisters. It’s falling in now but it was still so special to photograph these two in front of it!
