{A First Birthday Session}
Ray is 1! As always, it’s a bittersweet moment for me, but there is a little more feels this time with the Brantner family. I’ve been photographing Tony and Jamie’s babies since day 1 and because baby Ray is the last little one for their family it means no more Brantner babies for me to photograph. But it’s so good knowing their family is beautifully complete. Jamie has one of the most sweet and caring souls and I know I will miss our little chats during session time.
With Ray’s 1 year session, Jamie wanted to opt out of a cake smash and, instead, focus more on family photos. I LOVED the unique ideas she had in mind for them to truly document this time in their lives. Keep scrolling down to see these images and my thoughts.
Baby Ray, you are such a quiet and charming little guy…I hope you will always carry these qualities with you for your entire life. I know you have your daddy’s handsome looks and I pray you carry your mama’s gentle heart with you where ever you go.
Being a dentist and a physician assistant, this is the harsh reality of Tony’s and Jamie’s every single day right now in a Covid-19 world. It was SO important for Jamie to document this time and I am SO glad she asked me to be apart of it. This is what I thrive on…the documentation of my clients lives, their stories. They deserve to be told for generations to come. It humbles me knowing that I can provide this small glimpse of the legacy of the Brantner family to share with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for so many years to come. The best part is that this image was taken in front of their home!
