{How to Commemorate Prom in 2020}

You spent weeks searching for the perfect dress with countless try-on sessions. You’ve meticulously picked out the perfect jewelry, shoes and accessories to match your dress. Endless hours were spent online looking for the best hair and makeup for one of the biggest events in high school. PROM! With Coronavirus rearing it’s ugly head during this time, many schools are forced to postpone or even cancel high school proms! Fortunately, in our area, many schools have rescheduled to a later date this summer. But it doesn’t take away the months of planning and anticipation for a decades old tradition of prom in the springtime. Today, I’m sharing four great ways to celebrate prom NOW (with your friends) during social distancing!

1. Get Dressed and Order Takeout!
   Put on that gorgeous dress and jewels, order takeout from your favorite restaurant and bum out on the couch watching classic prom movies all night! My faves are She’s All That, Carrie, 10 Things I Hate About You, Never Been Kissed, Pretty in Pink and the High School Musical series.
2. Father/Daughter OR Mother/Son Dance
   Throw up some twinkling lights, get completely dolled up and host a dance party with mom or dad. Dance the night away to all of your favorite songs while making some unforgettable memories with your parents!
   
   
   
   
   
3. Zoom Dance Party with Your Girlfriends
   Zoom has become such a popular app to connect with family and friends during social distancing. Show off your entire prom attire with your girlfriends while connecting through Zoom. Dance to your favorite songs or even share all of your favorite prom beauty tips!
4. Social Distance Meet-Up
   Meet up with your friends in a parking lot fully dressed in your prom duds! Be sure to practice safe social distancing!! Crank up your favorite tunes and shake your booty! Bonus points for bringing a truck to give you plenty of social distancing space to dance!
