{A Central Iowa Engagement Shoot}
It’s March in Iowa and I am longing for greener pastures (pun intended). But when I woke up Saturday morning to snow on the ground, my heart sank! Even though it looked beautiful, the snow continued for most of the morning. I just knew I was going to be shooting this engagement session in a winter wonderland, and in March, that’s the last thing I want. Or is it? There is zero greenery here so maybe I do want snow? These were my thoughts throughout the whole morning it continued to snow. BUT, half-way through the day most of the snow melted away! I ended up getting the best of both worlds….except there is still no greenery HAHA! I actually think there is some beauty in winter grass, though! It’s soft and romantic. And some of my favorite images from this session is when John and Misty are laughing in the pasture full of tall grass. They probably thought I was crazy having them trudge out into the middle of a pasture for their portraits!! But I think it was so worth it! I love the way they look at each other and I love the happiness they have for one another. I’m so happy these two have found love and I am excited to share their special day with them!
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day! 😉
