{Happy Birthday to Our Girl!}
Our little squirrely girly is 5 today!!!!!! A whole hand full! She’s no longer a toddler or preschool age. She’s turned into a little kid!! And, of course, mommy is having mixed feelings! They say the days are long but the years are short and we all know it’s true. It’s just unfair that we can’t physically pause the moments we love the most. That’s why I love photography. Because, in a way, I can stop time, for just one moment. And for years and years to come I can still look back on those moments and relive them as though it was yesterday. I love that Liella is growing and learning but at the same time my biggest fear is to watch her grow away from us. There will come a day where she will no longer need us and it’s a little scary for a mom. So for now I am soaking in every little bit I can!
Liella is learning SO MUCH in preschool this year! She can write her name along with many of the letters in the alphabet. She’s also learning so many fun things about the world we live in. She gets excited about school and loves to read. I hope she always keeps this same enthusiasm about school as she gets older! Of course, she still LOVES to dance and is constantly bouncing around the house! Hence the nickname squirrely girly! (we sometimes call her squirrel-friend too!) Haha! She just can’t sit still! She’s been like that since she was a baby learning tummy time. So, obviously, I just HAD to find a squirrel costume for her! 😉 She is taking ballet again this year at Energy Dance and Tumbling Company. She also started tap classes at Energy and I’m excited to see how much she has learned! I’m just the mom so I know I’m biased, but I think she is so incredibly graceful for a 5 year old. She’s got skills!
Her favorite color is red, she loves all things girly including makeup, dresses, playing dress up, jewelry, hair bows, and dolls. She LOVES to bake and is always cooking up some sort of concoction in her play kitchen. She also loves to draw, color and paint. Her favorite movie is Frozen (what little girls’ isn’t?!?!?) but she still loves Halloween type shows and is very interested in ghosts, zombies and skeletons. She’s feisty, sassy and passionate. She loves her siblings and Eden and her have become the best of friends! She’s beautiful, sweet, smart, spunky, hilarious and busy. She’s our little squirrely girl! Happy Birthday Liella!!!!! I love you girl!
She’s very much into decorating things so she HAD to decorate her chair for pictures! Haha! She did a beautiful job!
