{A Newborn Session}

Baby Cara spent 7.5 weeks in the NICU before I got to finally meet her! She’s such a fighter! Due to HELLP syndrome Cara was forced to be delivered 7 weeks early for the safety of her and her mama. She weighed 7.05 lbs at birth and started breathing well right away. But because of her weight she struggled a bit to keep up with the weight gain that she needed in order to go home. And finally after 7.5 long weeks her big brother Connor got to meet her when she came home!

For a 9 week old, Cara did pretty darn well at her newborn session and we were able to get several poses in! She is the spitting image of her beautiful mama Tristen! These guys make the long drive from Denison all the way to Algona to see me for photo sessions and I couldn’t be more honored to help create physical, lasting memories for them! I have gotten the pleasure to photograph big brother Connor from newborn to recent and now I will get to the same with Miss Cara! I can’t wait to get to know her better!

Tristen–Now that your beautiful family is complete, you can start to really focus on loving these two precious beans and making countless memories. I know you have a heart of gold and the confidence of a lion and your baby girl will grow up experiencing this through you! I know she will become a beautiful and strong woman because of you and the self-confidence you exude! She will truly have a great role model for a mother!
