{A 1 Year Session}

Billy and I have a special connection! Our birthdays are this week! Billy’s very first birthday was yesterday and we celebrated last Saturday in the studio…of course with cake! Billy is really a very happy baby but he didn’t last long for portraits and was not much into his cake. Psst…a little photographer secret…I sneak in little snacks behind the cake if baby doesn’t like it or is not interested in it. Cereal, puffs, whatever it takes. For Billy it was Cheerios. But it bought me a few more minutes of cake portraits before a major meltdown. Billy is officially walking so he really didn’t want to spend a whole lot of time sitting in one spot. But no worries because I’m quick with the camera! 😉

Billy’s mom and dad have such a beautiful connection with him and it’s apparent their love is endless. They have incredible patience with him and always know exactly what he needs. But Billy really doesn’t need a whole lot of tolerance because he’s such a content baby. And those baby blues will melt even the coldest of hearts!

I take great joy in designing cake smash setups for all my clients. I perfect every detail because these #CBSbabes only get one first birthday and I want it special for them! When mom said she wanted a red, white & blue theme for Billy I made sure that’s what she got! It’s important to me that my clients have something fun and professional to treasure their very first birthday.

Kaycee & Bobby– I know that you will always celebrate Billy and everything that he is. I pray your patience will endure over the years as he gets older and becomes “wiser.” May your heart consistently soar in his presence and I hope you continue to find new joy in being Billy’s parents. You GET the ultimate privilege to love Billy! Something to never take for granted!
