{A Newborn Session}

Cullen came into this world on May 8th weighing 6lbs and 11oz. His mama, a CBS Bride (check out their gorgeous New Year’s Eve wedding here), now has this adorable CBS Babe to snuggle and I can’t wait to spend the year with him! I’ve come to find that most babies love to be wrapped up and Cullen was definitely one of those babes! Even though it took him a bit to fully fall into a deep sleep, he was still so calm and relaxed the entire session. I think he gets it’s from his mama. 😉 Grandma Deanne stopped by to help out which is always so fun to see her. I sometimes feel like a small extension of the family because I just LOVE photographing all of her grandkids! And Cullen makes 7 grandbabies! Daddy LOVES to golf so it was a must to incorporate daddy’s hobby into Cullen’s session. And I just LOVE the setup we put together! It just might be one of my new favorite newborn portraits!

Brooke, welcome to the wonderful world of motherhood! It’s scary, nerve-wrecking, crazy hectic, joyous, beautiful and fulfilling. It’s isolating and unifying all at the same time. The love you have for your child is unlike any other love you will ever experience or give. Being a mom will probably be one of the hardest things you will ever do in your life but it will also be one of your greatest accomplishments.
