{A 1 Year Cake Smash Session}

Whenever a baby graduates my year program it’s always a little bittersweet. It’s so awesome to watch them grow but it’s so sad to think that my year time with them is over. Many times though, I am lucky enough to keep seeing my babies every year after when they return for more sessions. Last week Ryker officially graduated! He is such a sweet and handsome little man! He had all the smiles for me right out of the gate but we didn’t get too far into his session before he started getting a little tired. It’s pretty apparent (and cute!) during his cake smash when he started rubbing his eyes and got frosting all over his face! Of course we HAD to include is favorite cows in the session with him. What’s a portrait session without your best friends?!?! Also, mom tells me Ryker is a HUGE Cubs fan so obviously we had to incorporate a baseball themed cake smash. His little 2 teeth smile just gets me!

Jen, I know your first year with Ryker has been tough health-wise for you and your family and I pray you guys are on the downhill slide now. I hope that when you look back at these images you remember all the many happy moments you had this year and look forward to many, MANY more happy memories in all the years to come! Ryker is one tough buddy and he’s going to grow into a boy (and eventually a man) that you will be extremely proud of! And you’ll be so glad the your journey is EXACTLY the way that it is.
