{A Children’s Session}

Every May, I get the privilege to hang out with Miss Sadie and her mom, Chelsea, right around Sadie’s birthday…and I get to help celebrate with her! I just adore her! She has the sweetest soul. And if you know Sadie, you know that she doesn’t travel far without Bell. And of course, every year, Miss Bell gets her portraits taken as well. Bell is a brave soul and always goes first to show Sadie that getting her portrait taken is no big deal and is really fun! In return, Bell gets all the lovin’ any 3 year old could possibly give…lots of hugs and kisses.

Sadie also has a special place in her heart for her Uncle “Coley,” who plays #61 for Iowa Hawkeye football. And I would bet that he is second favorite to Bell. He always tags along at Sadie’s sessions helping to bring out those adorable laughs. Every time I sneak a peek-a-boo she giggles and looks to Uncle Cole. Whenever I asked Sadie when her birthday is, in a heartbeat she says, May 61! HAHAHA! That’s when you know a girl cherishes her uncle!

This year Sadie celebrated her birthday with donuts! And no birthday is complete without Daylight Donuts! She just cracks me up with those donuts!

After Sadie’s session, I totally forgot to take a snap of her and I together before she left and I was pretty bummed! But Chelsea told me she always sneaks in a couple of shots with of me working with her for Sadie’s baby book and shared a couple shots with me. When she told me this my heart just swelled! I love being a small part of my clients lives. I always have a special spot in my heart for my clients and it’s even better when they leave a little spot for me in theirs as well!

Oh Sadie, your soul is pure and lovely and I hope you always keep your gentle spirit! I hope year 3 brings so much joy and wonder and knowledge. I hope Bell never grows old of your kisses. But mostly, I hope you will always laugh at my peek-a-boos. 😉 Donut grow up sweet girl!
